Kutali Camp
On the isolated Kulefu Island in the far eastern part of the park, Kutali Camp is situated beneath a breathtakingly chilly Winterthorn forest. Some of the best guides in the area offer a wide range of safari activities at what is arguably the prettiest camp location in all of Zambia.
Kutali is a cosy tent camp with all the amenities one might want, but it also has the character and philosophy of a genuine seasonal forest camp. Each of the camp's five guest tents, which can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests at once, is strategically placed to provide the greatest possible views of the Zambezi River. The Kutali tents are custom-made and incredibly cosy, with premium bedding and beds, as well as flushing toilets, flowing water faucets, and old-fashioned bucket showers! Under the soaring Winterthorn trees, a main area stretch-canvas tent provides a wonderful setting for dining, reading, charging cameras, and wildlife viewing.

Simply put, the Lower Zambezi offers some of the best opportunities for observing big game species in Africa. This, together with the range of safari activities available and the park's beauty, combine to create a truly amazing wildlife display. As the dry season begins, big herds of buffalo and impala are also present on the valley bottom, along with high densities of elephant. All of the expected large predators are present, with lion, leopard, and wild dog populations being particularly well-represented. A night-time safari looking for honey badger and aardvark should help you forget about our long-necked buddies, however the giraffe may be the one noteworthy omission.
