
Ntemwa Busanga Camp
Ntemwa-Busanga Camp is located a three-hour game drive to the northwest of Musekese Camp. On the southern edge of the Busanga Plains is a traditional thatched jungle camp. This modest but endearing camp is ideally situated to take advantage of the Busanga Plains' diversity. Discover the diverse species that calls its several habitats, including the riverine thickets in the south, the tree-lined margins, and the rich, flooded grasslands in the centre, home.
Four thatched cabins make up this tiny camp, which opened in 2021, together with an outdoor bathroom with a flushing toilet and a nice bucket shower at the back. There are two main areas—one is an elevated terrace overlooking the huge Busanga Plains, and the other is a stretch-canvas shaded area with cosy couches where you may relax in the sun. Chargers for cameras and other devices are provided by the main deck. The Busanga Plains and southern treelines are accessible from Ntemwa-Busanga Plains Camp through an extensive road network. Only a few countries, like Zambia, allow nighttime driving, and all of our cars are fitted with red-filter lamps. ideal for spotting nocturnal wildlife.

The Busanga Plains are home to an abundance and diversity of species. Here, it's typical to see local specialties like sable and roan antelope. There is a tonne of game to see and take pictures of, in addition to thousands of red lechwe. A sight to behold, the Busanga Plains are also home to some of the park's greatest buffalo herds, numbering over 600. Wildebeest and zebra can be found on the Southern Plains, along with herds of the tiny oribi and covert reedbuck. Of course, there are also predators in the area, including a prominent lion pride, the "Papyrus Pride," which lives in the northern, wetter plains, and the Moshi and Lufupa prides, which use the regions to the north and south of Camp Ntemwa-Busanga. In the same location that occasionally reports sightings of cheetah and late-season wild dog sightings, leopard are also present here, particularly around the tree-line of the plains.
