
Amanzi River Lodge
Amanzi River Lodge is down river from Anabezi Camp. This is a traditional safari tented camp, with just four tents, creating an intimate safari experience. Game drives and boat cruises set of in search of the diverse and prolific game and birdlife that can be found in the Lower Zambezi National Park.
Amanzi River Lodge Highlights
Located at the lower end of the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia, Amanzi River Lodge is a tented safari camp. The camp consists of 4 tents each with with two double beds on a raised teak deck. The tents have an indoor shower and bathroom, as well as a private sitting area and balcony overlooking the Zambezi. The camp is intimate yet private with the tents generously spaced and connected with a raised walkway to the main area. The main area offers stunning views of the mosaic of islands that are home to a group of majestic elephant bulls. The main area leads down to the pool deck which sits just above the Zambezi River.

Amanzi River Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
Amanzi River Lodge in the Lower Zambezi National Park offers one of Zambia's premier wildlife areas with abundant bird and animal life. Guests have a chance to explore this wildlife haven with game drives in the morning and the evening, a walking safari into the surrounding Kulefu woodlands areas, a canoeing safari along the Zambezi river and a boating safari that can include fishing! Bird watching is phenomenal, as there are about 500 different species of birds to be found in the Lower Zambezi National Park.
The Zimbabwean World Heritage Site, Mana Pools Reserve, is situated on the opposite bank forming a natural transfrontier park and creating a large sanctuary for wildlife. The valley floor offers abundant game as well as along the river offering good land and water-based game viewing opportunities. The park is host to large herds of elephant and healthy populations of lion, leopard, side striped jackal, hyena, hippo, buffalo, zebra, waterbuck, and many other antelope. Less common are the African wild dog and aardvark.
