Baines River Camp Highlights
Situated in the Lower Zambezi Valley in the Chiawa Game Management area lies Baines River Camp. Nestled on the banks of the Zambezi River, the camp has amazing views across the river towards Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools! This area has fantastic game watching, where the animals are free to roam along their ancient paths, with no fences between the Chiawa and Lower Zambezi National Park.
Baines River Camp is an intimate camp with eight double suites each with their own view over the Zambezi River. These luxury suites have air-conditioning, mosquito nets, tea & coffee making facilities, mini bar, ensuite bathroom and two have an outside shower! Relax in the guest areas at the river side pool, the bar and lounge or around the fire pit in the evenings. There is also a private spa for a relaxing treatment!

Baines River Camp Game Viewing and Activities
Enjoy river cruises along the Zambezi river and the unique game viewing experience this offers. Baines River Camp also offers canoeing safaris and fishing trips on the river. Game drives are conducted in the area, where experienced guides track the abundant game and birdlife.
The Lower Zambezi National Park offers one of Zambia's premier wildlife areas with abundant bird and animal life. Located on the banks of the beautiful Zambezi River and bordered on the northern side by the Muchinga escarpment, the park offers remarkable natural beauty and scenery. The Zimbabwean World Heritage Site, Mana Pools Reserve, is situated on the opposite bank forming a natural transfrontier park and creating a large sanctuary for wildlife. The valley floor offers abundant game as well as along the river offering good land and water-based game viewing opportunities. The park is host to large herds of elephant and healthy populations of lion, leopard, side striped jackal, hyena, hippo, buffalo, zebra, waterbuck, and many other antelope. Less common are the African wild dog and aardvark. The Lower Zambezi National Park offers incredible bird- watching with over 300 species recorded in the area.
