Olmara Camp
Olmara camp is located in an untouched, wild, and secluded area of the Serengeti. Because of its remote location, the evenings present a borderless display of boundless night sky dominated by the Milky Way.
Olmara camp has eight tents built to blend in with the natural surroundings, all under canvas and with magnificent views of the surrounding nature. The surrounds may be wild, but each of the eight tented suites features a lounge area, a net-draped king-size bed, a writing desk, soft carpets spread over teak floors, and an en-suite with a shower and flushing toilet. Two tents accommodate families of up to four people in interconnected apartments. The three 'stargazer' tents take use of the bright African night skies with open rooftops where you can relax on giant cushions and fall asleep beneath a dazzling canopy of stars. At the heart of the camp the dining and lounge areas are arranged around the campfire and Wi-Fi connection allows you to share your experiences with others in real time. The spacious mess tent is decorated with African art, and cosy lounging areas provide a welcome respite from the heat of the day or room to ponder a deeper appreciation of the Serengeti. A well-stocked library of animal and environmental titles is available whilst a waiter will be standing by to bring you an ice-cold drink or a delicious Gin & Tonic.

Olmara Safari Lodge offers game drives, walking safaris, star-gazing beds, fly-camping, bush lunches, and hot air balloon excursions. Game drives are conducted twice daily across the Soit le Motonyi savanna and near the acacia forests that surround the rolling plains. Expect to encounter lions, leopards, and cheetahs among other big cats. Serval, elephant, giraffe, zebra, warthog, and hyena are also common sightings. Walking safaris in a remote river valley are accessible to visitors aged 12 and up. Walks bring you up close to all things large and small, such as hippo pods in river pools, fig-encrusted kopjes, and insect life. Make the 6 a.m. departure and go to the skies in a hot air balloon for a bird's eye view of this region of the Serengeti. Your ride will take around an hour and a half, and you will be treated to a champagne bush brunch as a special treat.
