Lamai Serengeti Game Viewing and Activities
Unlike the southern plains of the Serengeti that dry out, forcing all but the hardiest of species to leave, this area remains lush and green. Aside from the magnificent migration of wildebeest and zebra, the resident game at Lamai Serengeti is spectacular. Plains game in the form of zebra, topi, gazelles, impala, buffalo and giraffe all frequent the area throughout the year. Lion are rarely far away and leopard, ever present, but always elusive, stalk the rocky kopjes and river lines. Short guided walks are offered within the immediate area, through nearby kopjes and along the riverlines, while longer walking safaris with fly camping in the still pristine neighbouring wilderness areas will be introduced soon. At Lamai Serengeti, guests can be as busy as they please with game drives and walks, or opt to relax at the lodge whilst enjoying the Serengeti from the private rooms or the swimming pool.
