Lake Manze Camp is rustic and offers basic facilities yet is very comfortable. No electricity is available; however, en-suite facilities include a hot shower and flush toilet and guests have their own comfortable veranda offering magnificent views over the beautiful plains of Selous and its varied bird and wildlife. The Lake Manze area is one of the finest game viewing areas in the entire Selous Game Reserve and offers fantastic game viewing all year round.

Lake Manze Camp Game Viewing and Activities
Lake Manze Camp offers the perfect location and has access to rivers and lakes teeming with wildlife. The fishing at the camp is superb, especially tiger fish and cat fish, and the river and lakes are virtually untouched; therefore, ideal for keen fishermen . Selous Game Reserve is one of Africa's true hidden gems and one of the wildest conservation areas consisting of an unbelievable 55,000 sq km; Selous is almost twice the size of Belgium and four times larger than the famous Serengeti. The Rufiji River is the largest river in East Africa which drains most of South Western Tanzania's water. This reserve offers an abundance of wildlife and is home to over 1,000,000 large animals and over half of Tanzania's elephant population can be found here. The area north of the Rufiji River is extremely diverse, consisting of hardwood forests, open plains and rocky arid hills and volcanic springs in the West. One of the main attractions is the river itself offering one of the largest crocodile and hippo populations in Africa and an abundance of fish which in turn offers some of the best water birding in the world. Selous Game Reserve offers more than 2,100 plant species, 350 bird species, 60,000 elephant, 108,000 buffalos and an estimated 1,300 remaining rare wild dog.
