Selous Impala Camp
Selous Impala Camp is located about one hour's scenic drive from Mtemere Airstrip, in the eastern side of the beautiful Selous Game Reserve. It lies between two lakes, which attract a rich variety of game, both in the wet months and in the dry seasons.
Selous Impala Camp Highlights
The camp overlooks the rippling Rufiji River, sheltering under Borassus palms and Tamarind trees, providing superb comfort, wonderful wildlife viewing and dining under the stars. Hippo and elephant often wander up to the lodge, creating a real feeling of being on safari.
- The lounge and dining area sit on spacious wooden decking with spectacular views across the river, making it a wonderful place to watch game come to the water to drink.
- At the back of each tent, kikoi-style curtains separate a spacious en-suite bathroom with concealed hot-shower feature.
- Activities include game drives in open-sided 4WDs, boat safaris along the Rufiji River and on the nearby lakes, and walking safaris.
