Togoro Plains
Togoro Plains, a permanent lodge, opened in 2023. The "Togoro plains" are located in the northern Serengeti, approximately halfway between Seronera and Lobo. This region is ideal for wildlife all year because it has permanent water holes. The Serengeti National Park has designated the location as a "rhino sanctuary" since a few black rhinos have lived there.
There are 14 tents in total, each with a thatched roof. All of the tents are built into the rocks and face the surrounding "Togoro plains" that reach as far as the eye can see. Each tent is outfitted with a toilet, shower, sinks, a desk, armchairs, and beds. The lodge was built around two impressive kopjes. The common amenities, such as the restaurant, bar and swimming pool, are erected high, while the tents are on the ground. The restaurant, which is thatched and well designed, is situated on a platform in the midst of the rocks. The café extends onto a spacious terrace that overlooks the camp and the plain. The bar is a little further down and provides a nice environment in the evening.
