Grumeti Hills
The Grumeti Wildlife Management Area (WMA), which is bounded by Serengeti National Park to the south and west and the Grumeti Game Reserve to the north, is probably one of the most scenically magnificent and diversified wilderness places. The Grumeti River flows through the area just two kilometres from the lodge. Wildlife is abundant throughout the year, with some fine resident game and the Great Migration coming through and settling in twice a year (May to July and October to December).
The camp consists of 20 stand-alone tents scattered around a picturesque hill. Each of the twenty spacious tented rooms has a welcoming atmosphere, with wooden floors and environmentally friendly materials. Each consists of a living room, a bedroom, a dressing alcove and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, washbasin and a toilet. The large veranda is ideal for a relaxed rest while overlooking the plains. The impresive main building, with its spectacular thatched roof and colourful architecture, houses the vast restaurant, sitting area, bar and an attractive terrace. Enjoy pre- and post-dinner refreshments in our cosy lounge.
- 20 stand alone tents
- Eco Friendly
- Outstanding surroundings
- The ultimate luxury safari experience
This camp offers a variety of activities to make your stay memorable. Exciting game drives and walking safaris allows guests to see spectacular wildlife in a natural setting. A night wildlife drive in the WMA provides an exciting opportunity to explore the bush after the day has passed and the residents have moved out of the shade of the trees. Many creatures cannot be seen during the day. Only at night do nocturnal hunters stir, and their victim must remain attentive to survive the night. Grumeti Hills also provides interesting activities such as walking safaris and night game drives in E-powered 4x4s, which are the first in Eastern Africa. A truly fantastic bush adventure !!
