Ol Malo is a beautiful lodge set in the heart of the Laikipia Plateau, which runs from the foothills of Mt Kenya to the edge of the Great Rift Valley. The main lodge has breath-taking views and has four wonderful cottages, each with a separate bathroom, living area and private veranda. Meaning ‘place of the greater kudu’, Ol Malo is the home of Kenyans, Colin and Rocky Francombe and has breath-taking views from the escarpment and across the endless plains. The 5,000-acre ranch and game sanctuary lies along the Ewaso Nyiro River on the edge of the Laikipia Plateau.

Ol Malo Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
Ol Malo offers plenty of exciting and unique activities, all led and guided by local Samburu people who are fully trained and licenced and most of whom grew up in the surrounding wilderness, so know the area very well. Activities can be tailored to suit individual requirements, from game viewing by vehicle or foot, riding, camel rides, fishing or mountain biking. It is also encouraged that guests visit the local village and see some of the community projects that are underway, and meet the Samburu people or visit the nursery school. For the adventurous at heart, there are four bunk beds are set up in the leopard blind to allow you to spend the night there in the hope of catching a glimpse of the elusive leopard. The guides are also very flexible and are able to arrange activities to suit children of all ages.
