Ol Malo is a privately-owned game sanctuary on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in Kenya's wild and beautiful eastern Laikipia district. 5000 Acres of spectacular bush country overlooked by Mount Kenya and teeming with the elusive antelope from which the land takes its name (Greater kudu). Ol Malo is run by a Kenyan family, born and raised in the area and have a thorough understanding of the countryside and its inhabitants. Although Ol Malo House is an annexe to the main Ol Malo Lodge close by, it is actually comparable in size and level of facilities.

Ol Malo House Game Viewing and Activities
An overgrazed cattle ranch has been transformed into a world-renowned sanctuary for wild animals that offers visitors an intimate and rare appreciation of Kenya’s culture, local Samburu people and wildlife. Guests will be taken out on a drive in an open vehicle driven by a Samburu guide, and be virtually certain to see such a wide-ranging selection of elusive, wild game, including all the top predators: wild dog, leopard, cheetah, lion, Spotted and Striped hyena. Elephant, buffalo, eland, Grevy's zebra and Greater kudu are but a few of the mammals that roam the plains of Ol Malo. In addition to game drives, the Samburu guides at Ol Malo take guests on fascinating and beautiful nature walks to inspect the smaller species, not to mention the 330 species of birds recorded in the area. For the active and adventurous, guests can go horse riding down towards the river; Cross-country Mountain biking; and running with a Samburu warrior to set the pace.
