Shinde offers a permanent water wilderness experience all year round, with night game drives being a highlight.
Eight large safari-style tents with windows await you at Shinde. These private tents include modern en suite bathrooms with hot running water in ample supply. Comfort and exclusivity best describe the accommodations at Shinde and the service of the staff is impeccable, courteous and inviting. Shinde accommodates only 16 guests in total, ensuring that yours is an intimate escape. This full-service tented camp features fantastic cuisine and dining in the Treehouse is a special experience. Shinde Camp Game Viewing and Activities
Shinde Camp is situated within the private Shinde Concession overlooking a permanent lagoon, hence offers a fantastic year round water wilderness experience as well large dry areas for game drives. Game viewing from a mokoro (dug-out canoe) is the most traditional and tranquil way to experience the Okavango Delta. Shinde offers 450 species of bird and 75 different mammal species. Guests can expect to see buffalo, crocodile, elephant, lion, lechwe, baboon and many other antelope species. From October to March the waters subside and extensive green open plains are the highlight. This is where the game viewing is the most diverse. Lion, cheetah and leopard are plentiful, while Tsessebe, Red Lechwe, zebra, giraffe, warthog and wildebeest are abundant.
