Wolwedans Dune Camp Game Viewing and Activities
Activities available at Wolwedans Dune Camp include morning or afternoon game drives which take approximately 3-4 hours. Afternoon scenic drives are often combined with sunset in the dunes. Scenic flights are also a popular activity at Wolwedans. A highlight at NamibRand is hot-air ballooning offering the best viewpoint and a once in a lifetime experience. Photographic safaris are also available at Wolwedans. TokTokkie Trails are available on a separate concession on the reserve and offers guided desert walking trails in the south-east of NamibRand. The trail is two nights and can easily be integrated into a visit to Wolwedans. Guests can expect to see gemsbok, mountain and plains zebra, springbok, red hartebeest, bat-eared fox, spotted hyena, cape fox and African wildcat. The rocky areas are inhibited by kudu, klipspringer, baboon and leopard, while the dunes harbour a rich and diverse micro-fauna. The bird life is prolific and over a hundred species of birds have been recorded in the area.
