Angama Safari Camp
Angama Safari Camp is a small-footprint sole-use tented camp in the Maasai Mara that can accommodate up to eight guests in four gorgeous ensuite tents. This one-of-a-kind camp evokes the romance and adventure of safari's wonderful Golden Age, but with a lightness of spirit that will surprise and thrill tourists. Here, you may enjoy the conveniences of modern camping while also experiencing the excitement of having nothing but canvas between you and the Mara and its year-round abundance of wildlife right on your doorstep.
The ensuite guest tents have been constructed for landscape orientation to maximise light and views across the plains, with a fresh, fun, and uncomplicated style. Each has an extra-king bed, a writing desk, a dressing area, a vanity, a separate w/c, and the amusing addition of double bucket showers. Interiors echo Angama Mara's much-loved components - red Fermob rocking chairs and furniture by master weaver John Vogel - with the best of everything but always just the perfect amount of everything. "The guest and mess tents do not resemble the tents of other mobile operators." These tents have a distinct appearance, which has been achieved primarily through the use of a fun and unconventional roof design. A landscape-oriented inner tent rests beneath the unusual roof. While this is common in more permanent tented camps, several mobile operators opted for a more classic portrait-oriented tent for their mobile campers. This little camp is surprising, joyful, elegant, hardworking and durable, light-hearted in both personality and footprint, romantic and detailed. And every touchpoint is created with the comfort and delight of the guests in mind.
