Angama Amboseli
Angama Amboseli is a cosy lodge located in the centre of Kimana Sanctuary. The Sanctuary, the first community-owned conservancy in Kenya, is renowned for its beautiful scenery and extraordinary density of animals. Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, serves as the Sanctuary's famous background. Angama Amboseli is a tranquil beginning or end to any East African safari. It is located in a fever tree forest where some of Africa's remaining Super Tuskers—elephants with enormous tusks that drag along the ground as they walk—roam.
Each of the 10 suites is made of a combination of canvas, concrete, and rattan and features earthy, neutral colours. This is another modern interpretation of African style with hints to the giants of this environment. Without a view to wake up to, what good is an Angama suite? Both are set up such that you can see Mount Kili almost from every angle, even from the bed and the shower. The only thing standing between you and the mountain are floor to ceiling screen doors. Each tent contains two cosy, bright-red rocking chairs and a set of binoculars, so you can relax in the luxury of your tented accommodation while taking an afternoon nap or going on a rocking chair safari or enjoy the rim-flow swimming pool, which is intended for both families and sun worshippers

The centrepiece of your safari vacation is a game drive into the Mara Triangle. After leaving the lodge, you soon find yourself in huge grasslands lined with acacia trees and surrounded by more animals than you can count, including the Great Migration's enormous herds and Africa's Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo). For that extra relaxation enjoy a Swedish massage in-tent or on your private deck or if you have energy to burn then there’s a fitness room with floor-to-ceiling glass stacking doors and ellipticals, treadmills, bicycles and weights.
