Direct access through a private gate into the Masai Mara National Reserve ensures guests are never far from the wildlife action. Angama Mara is one of the first lodges to enjoy the arrival of the great wildebeest migration which takes place from July through to October annually.
Each of the beautiful guest tents has touches of Masai Mara colour and African decor. The floor to ceiling windows brings the view inside, even to the en suite bathroom and large soaking tub.

Angama Mara Game Viewing and Activities
The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Africas finest game reserves. Incredible big cat sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah are common, alongside excellent game viewing and outstanding bird watching. The Masai Mara is home to the annual Great Wildebeest migration, which arrives from the Serengeti from July and stays till October annually. Game drives and safari walks are conducted by top Kenyan guides, many of whom are from the area. Hot Air balloon safaris are available at Angama Mara.
There is a resident photographer who can be hired to conduct photographic safaris. A post-safari editing studio is on-site where guests can learn how to edit their photos, and even print them!
Cultural visits to local communities are encouraged to explore the local Masai way of life.
