Sanctuary Tambarare Camp
Nestled beneath the fever trees in the shadow of Mount Kenya, Sanctuary Tambarare offers the perfect balance of adventure and serenity. Looking out over 90,000 acres of unspoilt African landscape and is home to the Big Five including the last two northern white rhinos on earth.
With just 10 luxurious tents, Sanctuary Tambarare is a peaceful haven. The individually decorated tents have a boutique-meets-bush-style that harks back to the golden age with teak floors and unique touches. Each tent is large and airy with a private veranda over- looking the grassy plains. Enjoy the floor to ceiling cinematic views across the landscape from the super king beds. The ensuite bathrooms boast a walk-in-shower and sumptuous towels. The camp’s colours are inspired by nature, from ‘sun-bleached’ wood and wicker lampshades to intense bursts of colour in the exuberant fabrics, like wildflowers dotted around the landscape.

Guests can enjoy exploring the vast grassy plains by going on daily game drives where expert guides enrich the experience. In addition to the Big five the conservancy is home to 130 black rhino. Get up close and personal with the last two northern white rhino on earth and track lions on foot accompanied by an experienced ranger. There are also many other activities on offer including horse riding with the rhino, hippo nature trail, guided bush walks and behind the scenes with the chimpanzees to name but a few (additional costs may apply).
