Tuludi Camp
Coming in July 2019, Tuludi is an all-year-round luxury tented safari camp in the Khwai Private Reserve in the northern reaches of the Okavango Delta where it shares 200 000 hectares of space with only a handful of other camps.
Tuludi Introduction
“Tuludi” is the Setswana word used to describe the flecked pattern of a leopard’s coat, and it is also perfectly matched to the dappled light effect that decorates the camp when the sun shines through the leadwood trees above. This is an exclusive spot in a very sought-after area of Botswana where the Khwai River is the primary supply of water and game viewing is excellent. Tuludi promises to deliver on comfort and style with hugely spacious tents (over 60 sq metres interior), large decks with plunge pools and a sunken lounge. Each room has an indoor and outdoor shower plus an open-air bath tub!
- There are 7 roomy canvas tents on elevated wooden decks, 6 of which are double/twin and 1 of which is a family unit (children over 6 years old).
- WiFi is available, laundry is complimentary, hairdryers are provided, battery charging in-room & in main area.
- A treehouse library sits in the tree canopy and offers a great place to relax with the birds & read up on local wildlife or get stuck into a novel.
- Each room has a plunge pool, indoor & outdoor lounges, and there is a swimming pool at the main area plus plenty of places to relax and enjoy the view.
Tuludi Game Viewing and Activities
Game viewing in Khwai Private Reserve is world class. A fantastic mixture of wetland and woodland species thrive on the diverse landscapes and both predator and herbivore populations are strong. The floodplains span out endlessly from Tuludi and are often scattered with herds of elephant and buffalo, making game viewing from camp pretty easy! Giraffe, zebra, kudu, waterbuck and various antelope are common on the plains, and just as the sun sets (in perfect view of the camp), you might be lucky to see a pride of lions on the move, or a leopard slinking between the trees. Cheetah and wild dog do very well in the open areas and are some of the rare and exciting predators you stand the chance of seeing. Activities are diverse, including game drives, guided walking safaris, mokoro & boat cruises. Or just chill out and take it all in from the comfort of the camp!
