Beagle Expeditions
Beagle Expeditions is a small, intimate, family-run business situated in a wild and spectacular corner of the Okavango Delta. This unique region is located in the Western Okavango Delta along a section of the Kweene River system that borders the Sandveld tongue. Its isolation, with only our guests and a helicopter able to access it, is what makes it particularly unique to us.
Although you are on an excursion, there are some "luxuries" that you don't need to give up; referred to as uncomplicated luxury. The tents are roomy 3 m x 3 m dome tents with lots of illumination at night. The bedrolls, which are made of exquisite Egyptian cotton linen are spread out over a soft padded carpet for the finest sleeping experience making it really cosy and warm. Each tent comes with an en-suite bathroom that includes a bucket shower (for hot or cold showers), a composting toilet and all the amenities need to ensure comfort and solitude. The primary area is straightforward but quite lovely, consisting of a dining table and camp chairs, a carpeted chill-out area with cushions thrown about and a coffee and tea station, bar and of course a fire for the evenings and mornings!
- Small and Intimate
- Traditional Tented accommodation
- Panoramic views
- An unforgettable experience
The Kweene River system is located in a beautifully isolated area of the Okavango Delta, which is known for its remarkable ecosystem and plentiful, untamed animals. Few locations in the world provide exclusivity at this degree and you won't encounter any others while on a game drive, trekking, or silently gliding down the canals in a mokoro because the Kweene Trails are reserved only for private parties on a sole use basis. Due to the area's complete isolation, going on safari here is unlike going anywhere else; it feels undeveloped and wild.
