Tanzania is a prime destination for this combination of destinations, as it offers fantastic game viewing at luxury, remote camps in sublime wildlife areas, while just off its coast lies the spice island of Zanzibar, where spectacular beach holidays are renowned. This safari takes guests from the safari capital of Arusha, where guests stay at Lemala Villas, from where they move onto the elephant paradise, Tarangire National Park. After 2 nights at Lemala Mpingo Ridge in Tarangire, guests are transferred to the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable visit to this geomorphic wonder, rich with mammalian predators. Next is the famous Serengeti National Park, to a lovely tented camp located perfectly in the Seronera Valley for superb viewing of the Annual Wildebeest Migration. This is a safari-chic camp that keeps things rustic, yet boasts luxurious touches. You will be in charge as this safari has a private local guide and safari vehicle for the duration of the safari! Lastly, it's off to the beach! Guests take a short flight to Zanzibar and drive to Baraza Beach Resort - world renowned for its beachfront and a prestigious level of decadence. Days 1 to 2 - Arusha Coffee Lodge , Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met and driven to the town of Arusha, for your first night of this grand Tanzania tour; at Arusha Coffee Lodge. Artfully hidden in a large coffee plantation, Arusha Coffee Lodge is a beautiful lodge that is never far from the intoxicating aroma of coffee!
The rooms all overlook the surrounding gardens and plantation, with modern and stylish touches. Big baths and waterfall showers await you after your long international travel to Tanzania.
Days 2 to 4 - Lemala Mpingo Ridge, Tarangire National Park
This morning, you will meet your private guide and safari 4x4 vehicle for the start of this safari! Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which is a fascinating, far less explored Tanzanian Park. Here you will spend 2 nights at Lemala Mpingo Ridge. Tarangire National Park is one of the most scenic parks and is noted for its elephant population and spectacular baobabs of every shape and colour, while it is also a popular home for leopards and the rarely-seen greater kudu and the Fringe-eared Oryx.
Lemala Mpingo Ridge has sweeping views over the Tarangire River from the top of an escarpment. The spacious tents are well positioned to ensure that the view is always seen. Each tent is en suite and has an outside private bathtub! The large private deck has a sitting area as well as a great sunken siesta bed!The main area is elevated and has a bar and dinning areas as well as a swimming pool and a spa.
Days 4 to 6 - Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp , Ngorongoro Crater
This morning's game drive will continue to the Ngorongoro Highlands and the Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp for 2 nights. This spectacular area of Tanzania is home to the largest predator population in Africa, specifically lions, and has been dubbed the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Located on close to the rim of the Ngorngoro Crater in an ancient acacia forest, Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp is on the eastern sided of the crater. Important to note that this camp is only 15 minutes from the crater floor ensuring you are some of the first tourists in the park, with packed lunch so you can spend the whole day exploring this caldera.
Each of the tents have en suite and safari style showers while the main area is beautifully furnished and the fire pit is a great place to relax around after dinner.
Day 6 to 9 - Lemala Ewanjan Camp , Serengeti National Park
An early rise this morning takes you via road on a game drive from the Ngorongoro Crater to the exceptional land of predators; the Serengeti National Park. For the next three nights, stay at Lemala Ewanjan Camp on a fully inclusive basis. This camp offers stunning accommodation in the Seronera Valley on the western slopes of Makoma Hill, in the Central Serengeti. It is a perfect spot for year-round game viewing with its large resident big cat population, plus in the prime migration viewing area from April through to June and again November through to January. (Should you come in July through to October Lemala Kuria Hills in the north can be substituted with a flight added)
Lemala Ewanjan offers staggering views of the Serengeti migration, grasslands and sunsets from theperfectly positioned deluxe tents. Each one is fitted with 2 queen size or 1 king size leather bed, warm duvets, flushing toilets and large safari-style showers. Each tent has an outside deck with loungers to enjoy the views. The main camp has a bar and fire pit to sit next to at night. The camp is set at the end of a valley with no other vehicles obstructing your view from camp. Daily game drives are available and the unique opportunity to observe the movements of the Serengeti from a hot air balloon is offered.
Day 9 to 13 - Baraza Beach Resort , Zanzibar
Say good bye to your guide and northern Tanzania as you fly from the Seronera airstrip, joining a scheduled light air transfer to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be welcomed and driven to Baraza Beach Resort where you can be expected to do nothing but recline seaside and indulge in this luxury island resort for the next four nights.
Located on the east coast of Zanzibar, the resort is located on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach - considered to be one of the best beaches in Zanzibar. Baraza Beach Resort is a perfect hideaway with just 30 villas available, keeping it nicely spacious and private. The villas are all spread around a beautifully manicured garden filled with bright bougainvillea flowers. Day 13 - Depart back to Dar es Salaam Airport
