The second half of this beach and bush tour of Tanzania will take guests from the plains of the Serengeti to the Island paradise of Zanzibar. Days 1 to 2 - Arusha Coffee Lodge , Arusha
Guests will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport from where they will be driven to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. Here is where guests will spend their first night of this 9 night beach and bush safari - at Arusha Coffee Lodge.
Arusha Coffee Lodge is small and luxurious lodge and offers a beautiful setting in one of Tanzania's largest coffee plantations. Offering a warm and friendly atmosphere with elegant interior, brick walls and rich wooden floors, Arusha Coffee Lodge offers a relaxed environment, perfect for the start of an adventurous tour of Tanzania's best safari areas. Guests can enjoy the swimming pool and bar area at the lodge, while other activities, including horse riding and mountain bike rides, can be arranged. Guests can also enjoy nature walks on the coffee estate, barbecue dinners, African buffets, and wood-fired pizza meals can also be arranged. A visit to one of the local villages is also an option for a touch of culture.
Days 2 to 4 - Ngorongoro Manor , Ngorongoro Crater
An early morning start in Arusha will take guests on a Road transfer to Arusha Airport and onwards to a scheduled light air transfer to Manyara. Upon arrival, guests are met and then driven to the Ngorongoro Highlands from where they will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater and spend the rest of the day game driving. After this superb start to the safari, the drive will end at the magnificent Ngorongoro Manor where guests will spend the next 2 nights overlooking the Crater; 8th Wonder of the World.
The Manor is a stunning new lodge located in the Ngorongoro highlands just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Built in a Cape Dutch style, The Manor is reminiscent of a smart farmstead which is quite apt considering its location on the 1500 acre, Shangri-La Coffee Estate. The 20 bedrooms at The Manor are dotted through the lodge's gardens in numerous small cottages, all of which look out over the rolling green hills of the escarpment. Activities available at The Manor include game drives in the Crater; horse riding; bicycle trails; coffee tasting and guided estate walks; Crater floor picnics; Masai Cultural visits; and Masai market shopping trail.
Days 4 to 6 - Serengeti Migration Camp , Serengeti National Park
An early rise at Ngorongoro takes guests on a morning drive from one game-rich Tanzania Park to another. Guests travel by road to the famous Serengeti National Park where they will spend the next 2 nights on safari. The Serengeti Migration Camp offers a secluded and private location in the pristine East African wilderness amongst the rocky outcrops in Northern Serengeti and offers the ideal spot in the migration path to view the world's largest mammal migration.
The camp offers a combination of modern luxury in a traditional safari camp combined with delicious meals, superb service and exciting wildlife viewing. A highlight is the candlelit bush dinners under stars that will surely stand out as safari memories for years to come. There are 20 elegant and spacious safari tents situated on wooden viewing decks with king or twin beds, adorned with comfortable leather armchairs. This is the perfect place to unwind and appreciate the majesty of the open wilderness.
Day 6 to 10 - Kilindi Beach Resort , Zanzibar
After 4 nights on safari, guests are now transferred to Manyara Airstrip where they will join a scheduled light air transfer to the island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival of the island, guests will be driven to Kilindi Beach Resort where they will spend four luxurious nights relaxing at the seaside.
Kilindi prides itself on sustaining an ecological ethos and has centred its design on low environmental impact and recycling of its resources, yet it does not compromise on luxury. Standing watch over the time-honoured Dhow Routes, along a crescent of sand, each of the fifteen pavilions embrace cascading rain-water pools, lush tropical gardens and domed private spaces of indulgence. Each pavilion has been carefully designed and crafted to maximise the light and space, drawing the eye to the views around. The domes collect the rainwater and the pools circulate it, making Kilindi a recognisably ecological resort. From the onsite spa and swimming pool to the gorgeous beaches of Zanzibar, guests will not be able to resist the ultimate relaxation that is Kilindi.
Day 10 - Depart back to Nairobi Airport
On the 10th morning of this superb beach and bush vacation, guests return by road to the Zanzibar Airport, from where they are flown by scheduled light air transfer to Dar es Salaam in time for their onward travel arrangements.
