Family owned and run, Thabamati Luxury Tented Camp is well situated overlooking a dam and enjoys vistas across the Timbavati to the distant Drakensberg Mountains. Thabamati is an eco-friendly camp using only solar power and gas. Each of the 4 spacious and luxury tents are en-suite, each with a wonderful view across the waterhole. Private outside decks and interior sitting area allows for a chance to relax enjoy the waterhole and the sounds of the bush. Each tent has power outlets and the en-suite bathroom features inside and outside showers and a bath with a view of the surrounding bush.
Thabamati Luxury Tented Camp main areas has a large deck and pool area, all of which overlook the waterhole. A sunken boma also overlooks the dam and is the perfect place to enjoy the African nights.

Thabamati Luxury Tented Camp Game Viewing and Activities
Qualified and passionate guiding teams take guests on twice daily game drives in the Timbavati. The Timbavati shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park and the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, allowing animals to roam freely on long established paths.
The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park and encompasses a vast area with many diverse species of animals, birds, insects and reptiles. Game viewing is excellent in the Timbavati, with lion prides and leopards being regularly seen on game drives. Large herds of elephant and buffalo can also be seen very regularly as well as many other species like Hyena, the endangered Wild Dogs, cheetah, various plains game and many species of birds.
