RockFig Safari Lodge
Named after a resident female leopard whose turf lies in this territory, Rockfig Safari Lodge is a newly renovated luxury offering in the Timbavati Nature Reserve, perfect for exclusively booked getaways or intimate safari stays.
RockFig Safari Lodge Highlights
Rockfig Safari Lodge is decadent and romantic, yet interactive and relaxing for the whole family. This newly renovated luxury lodge has been around since the mid-90s when it was a family retreat, until it was taken to the next level by an architect and interior design team. The location in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is exceptional and the views of the savannah can be enjoyed from your room deck, the swimming pool, or your own bubble bath. Coffee is served to your room in the mornings, safari activities are of extraordinary quality, lodge life leaves you wanting for nothing, and meal times are a sumptuous affair.
- There are six luxury suites complete with private decks, en suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower, and bath tub with a view.
- The lodge and suites incorporate the colourful hues of local bird and plant life, while the underlying palette is natural, stoney, and soothing.
- Private romantic dinners can be served to your room, champagne and candles are on demand for restorative bubble baths, and the in-room luxuries are hard to part with.
- Meals are exquisite, cooked at an interactive open plan kitchen, and served at the indoor or outdoor dining tables, or out in the bush for starlit bush dinners.
RockFig Safari Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
The Timbavati Nature Reserve shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park and has a well established and well known presence of wildlife that roams throughout the area. A female leopard is a famous resident in the lodge’s immediate area and has been seen often over the years in her favourite arboreal hangouts. Game drives and walking safaris are two activities on offer every day; guests can plan to walk in the morning and drive in the afternoon, or mix the activities up to suit. Each offers a totally different perspective of the wilderness - game drives bring you closer to the Big Five, while walks offer an energetic activity that takes you closer to the details of the bush. Rockfig Safari Lodge also prepares incredible bush breakfast and dinners so that even mealtimes are an affair with the natural world. Kids will enjoy special attention, making this ideal for families.
