Amakhala Game Reserve offers breathtaking views and is home to an incredible array of wildlife including rhino, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, black wildebeest, zebra, tortoise and well over 16 antelope species. Experienced and knowledgeable rangers will accompany guests on all game activities, providing them with in-depth information about the region and its inhabitants. For guests seeking relaxation at its best, a slow cruise down the Bushman's River can be enjoyed. Exceptional bird viewing and sightings of game drinking at the river's edge can be enjoyed while canoeing down this very river. Guests are also given the opportunity of lion sightings in the famous Shamwari Game Reserve, situated next to Amakhala Game Reserve.
