The Elephant House is an exclusive lodge situated near the Addo Elephant National Park. The lodge offers some of the best elephant viewing in the world. The lodge is located in the fertile Sundays River Valley and allows for a fusion of colonial era style and traditional African art.
The lodge consists of 9 spacious bedrooms and opens onto courtyards & private verandas. The lodge has well-kept public areas as well as lush gardens where guests can relax and two swimming pools. The chef serves light poolside lunches and after sundowners a three course candlelit dinner is prepared with flair and personal attention. In the high season (October to May), an in-house masseur is able to offer guests a complimentary pampering session in the purpose built treatment room and boma.

Elephant House Game Viewing and Activities
In 1931 the original Elephant section of the park was proclaimed, when only eleven elephants remained in the area. Today there is over 450 elephants, Cape buffalo, black rhino, lion, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in this region. Some of the unique features of the park include, unrivalled natural diversity, with five of South Africa's seven major vegetation zones (biomes). The Big 7 (Elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, whales and great white sharks) in their natural habitat and the area is Malaria Free. Addo Elephant National Park is one of the world's great conservation success stories and embraces one of the highest concentrations of big game in Africa hence offers fantastic game viewing opportunities.
