Ndhovu Safari Lodge
A peaceful riverine retreat situated on the western banks of the Okavango River, overlooking the Caprivi Game Park. In addition to land-based luxury tented accommodation, Ndhovu now allows guests to experience nature at its best on a 2/3 day houseboat safari.
Ndhovu is only ten minutes drive from the Bagani airstrip. By road it is 20 km from Bagani Bridge (Divundu), 225 km from Rundu and 340 km from Katima Mulilo, an ideal stopover between Etosha and Victoria Falls. This lodge is a peaceful riverine retreat situated on the western banks of the Okavango River, overlooking the Caprivi Game Park (Bwabwata National Park). In addition to land-based luxury tented accommodation, Ndhovu now allows guests to experience nature at its best on an all-inclusive 2 or 3 day boat safari on the houseboat ”Hippo” (sleeps 4 persons). This unique safari takes guests up the Okavango river to the Popa Falls, with daily excursions to the Bwabwata game park (which forms part of Africa's biggest transfrontier conservation area, namely the KAZA tranfrontier park).

Sundown cruises, fishing excursions, village tours and game drives are offered on the activities front, whilst the birdlife in the area will satisfy the most ardent bird-watcher with over 400 different species having been recorded in the surroundings. The Mahango Game reserve is a mere 2 km away, offering excellent opportunities to view elephant, buffalo, red lechwe and sable antelope, to name a few, in typical riverine and swampland habitat. Game drives to the Caprivi national park (Bwabwata national park) will take 5-6 hours. This is probably the most popular way to see big herds of buffalo and elephants in their natural habitat. Typically this tour starts early in the morning just after breakfast. Relax and enjoy the Okavango breeze on a sundowner cruise and allow the experienced guides to point out the magnificent Okavango wildlife and offer you a fantastic birding opportunity.
