Ngare Serian
'Ngare' means 'by the river' in Masai, and the aim behind this cosy little camp was to bring the peacefulness of the ancient Serian camp to the river's side. Ngare Serian is cosy and cosy, hugging the banks of the Mara. It can only be accessed on foot, via a short rope bridge - and in some ways, the crossing is symbolic: an invitation to move out of touch and time, and surrender to the natural beauty of the location. There's something wonderful about standing on the ocean's edge - the water slipping and tumbling over the stones creates a relaxing backdrop while also lending lightness and liveliness.
Ngare Serian has just four tents, making it ideal for hosting a family vacation or meeting a group of friends. The tents are dispersed along the riverbed and are elegantly furnished with Zanzibar four-poster beds and open bathrooms overlooking hippo pods. Take a page from the hippos' playbook and relax in the bathtub built into your veranda decking, absorbing in the sights and sounds of the wild. Ngare is set in the exclusive Mara North Conservancy and is perfectly situated to take advantage of our 1,500 acres of special conservation area. The complete 1,500 acres of wilderness is exclusive to Ngare Serian which allows guests to roam and explore through the wilderness.

There are a vast variety of activities on offer at Ngare Serian and due to the vast area and seclusion guests are welcome to explore and adventure on night drives and take part in fishing in the river. Walking safaris are also offered allowing guests to tune into the whispering savannah silence away from the hum of the vehicle. The nocturnal aspect of safari is sometimes overlooked, yet you'll see the clearest skies in the bush: take a night drive, turn off the engine, and wonder at the boundless amounts of sparkling stars.
