Lake Baringo is world renowned for the vast array of bird species found on the lake. Guests are likely to spot verreaux’s eagle owls, hammerkops, storks, hornbills, and fish eagles around the lake. While at the camp, guests are able to spot weavers, starlings, and sunbirds. At night hippos come out and guests are able to hear them, sometimes with young, grazing on the lawns and returning to the water in the day. Often guests may seem to see floating logs, however, they may be crocodiles.
