Enasoit Plains Camp
Enasoit Plains Camp is a part of the far reaching Laikipia conservation project, in which ranches and communities work together to preserve essential wildlife corridors.
Enasoit Plains Camp Highlights
Enasoit is located on the edge of the Lolldaiga hills, and is an important wildlife corridor between east and west Laikipia. The camp overlooks two salt licks and a dam frequented by elephant, buffalo, giraffe and all the smaller game. Enasoit has all the predators including lion, leopard, cheetah and wilddog. A highlight for guests at Enasoit Plains Camp is to experience a ride on the Tusitiri Dhow. Dhows are traditional wooden sailing vessels, originally built for carrying exotic spices and goods along the Indian Ocean. Enasoit’s Dhow operates in Lamu, on Kenya’s north coast. Activities while sailing include snorkelling, scuba-diving, shore-based and deep sea fishing, whale watching and walking on the beach. Guests interact with locals as they crisscross between the island and mainland. Nights on the Dhow, are spent on bed rolls under the stars and meals, usually fresh seafood and house wine are served on the deck.
