Grays Eden
This luxurious boutique lodge is set to open in the first quarter of 2024 in Maun, the primary gateway town to the Okavango Delta and the many safaris in northern and central Botswana. Grays Eden, located on the banks of a quiet stretch of the Thamalakane River, provides guests with a luxurious landing pad into the world of safari, followed by a smooth transition into the bush, and finally, post safari, a slow departure allowing guests to fully assimilate everything that has been seen, heard, and experienced.
The layout and interiors at Grays Eden have been designed to help restore a sense of equanimity as efficiently and effectively as possible, with soft, sumptuous spaces playing to organic, natural curves and all five of the elements in mind, fusing architectural styles with a gracious nod to Botswana safari culture. Grays Eden has used soft materials and light wood tones throughout the space to create delicate yet luxurious interiors, while organic, beautiful architectural forms compliment the natural beauty of the surroundings. This new category of safari-holiday accommodation offers a gentler experience than the typical masculine style canvas lodges, while nevertheless keeping a strong sense of comfortable modern luxury, with relaxing pastel colours, clean lines, and simplicity in design. The first of its kind in Maun, this boutique-style lodge immediately transports guests to a relaxing vacation setting. The Grays Eden property features five luxurious thatch roof villas and seven fisherman's cottages that are well-positioned for privacy and have views of the Thamalakane River and its wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, and the occasional elephant stopping to drink.
