Tartaruga Maritima Lodge Activities
The coastline from Ponta d’Ouro to Inhaca Island boasts the most breathtaking hard and soft coral reefs. Blossoming into colour, this is a spectacular sight for divers; also home to a diversity of marine life and shells that make this an underwater paradise, incomparable to other areas in Southern Africa. Unlike the coral reefs in South Africa, most of these reefs have remained untouched for nearly two decades during the civil war. The terrain consists of long and uninterrupted stretches of white sandy beaches, high primary sand dunes, coastal forests, inland flood plains and numerous lakes and accompanying marshlands, making it an ideal playground for 4X4 vehicles, as well as, off-road biking and hiking activities.
