Days 1 to 5 - Hotel Copacabana Palace , Rio de Janeiro
This luxurious art-deco hotel offers a Michelin starred restaurant, a botanical spa and fantastic views of some of the city’s most beautiful bustling beaches right on your door step. Expect nothing less than complete luxury. Soak up the stunning beach views, sip cocktails by the pool or enjoy the five star spa facilities.
On day two take in a full day tour to the city’s most fantastic sights. Enjoy amazing views at the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain and take a scenic drive to the bottom of Corcovado Hill. Here you board a train for a short journey up to the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Lunch will be served at a local barbecue restaurant. Optional: 07/08 minute helicopter flight from the Sugar Loaf to enjoy an amazing and unforgettable view!
On day three enjoy an excursion to the “Imperial City of Petrópolis”, where guests will visit the museum and the Summer Palace of former Emperor Pedro II of Brazil. Other highlights include the “Crystal Palace” and historic mansions. Lunch will be served afterwards in a typical local barbecue restaurant.
On day four its time for a fun bike tour along the world’s most famous beaches, such as Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. Dinner at restaurant MEE to discover its sophisticated pan-Asian cuisine in Rio.
Days 5 to 7 - Hotel Belmond Cataratas , Iguazú
Flight to Iguassú. The Iguassu falls are made up of 275 separate waterfalls, producing vast sprays of water, it is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Arrive at the stunning Hotel Belmond Das Cataratas mere footsteps from the falls. In the afternoon visit to the Brazilian side of the falls with views of the full scale of the cascades. Then later after a delicious dinner fall asleep to the thunderous sounds of the biggest waterfall system on earth.
After a relaxing evening at the hotel a visit to Iguazu National Park (Argentina), including the Devil’s Throat with the highest continuous fall. Wonderful sights include rainbows straddling clouds of spray, screeching green parrots flying across the waters and colorful butterflies hovering over lush greenery.
Day 7 - Iguazú
Transfer to the airport for the homebound flight or extension.
