Old Drift Lodge
A new addition to the Zambezi Riverfront, Old Drift Lodge is located in Zimbabwe’s Zambezi National Park only 7km from the town of Victoria Falls bringing both the excitement of the Falls and the tranquillity of the 55 000 hectare wildlife reserve.

Old Drift Lodge truly makes the most of its surroundings positioned in the 55 000 hectare Zambezi National Park and on the banks of the famous river by the same name. The south-facing view from the lodge gazes out onto a waterhole, which is the popular drinking spot for a host of animals that reside in the park, while the north-facing view from the lodge is pure paradise with an outlook over the Zambezi River. The newly built lodge is equipped to cater for romantic travellers and families with children with their 10 double suites and four family suites.
- Each of the 14 guest suites at Old Drift Lodge have views of the river, while the main lodge area has vast decks with lounges, a fire pit, and plenty of places to relax.
- The lodge has taken full advantage of the great outdoors and offers some very special features, including a star bed on each deck, so guests can sleep in comfort outdoors for a magical experience.
- There are both indoor and outdoor showers in each suite, in addition to a bath tub which is located outside on the deck for added excellence, and a plunge pool for luxurious refreshment.
Old Drift Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
The location of Old Drift Lodge means that there is a vast number of activities on offer to suit various senses of thrill and excitement, or the desire to relax and unwind in nature. There are game drives and walking safaris on offer to show guests through the wilderness and enjoy encounters with some of Africa’s most fantastic animal inhabitants. The close proximity (7km) of the lodge to Victoria Falls means that guided tours of these incredible thunderous cascades are a highlight, as are the number of adrenaline inducing activities, such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, tiger fishing, horseback safaris, and canopy tours. Boat cruises from the lodge are superb, especially at sunset accompanied with something cold! If relaxing is the order of the day, an in-room spa treatment might be the way to go, or perhaps a day trip into the nearby Chobe National Park is what the doctor ordered.
