It is an owner-run lodge, which enhances the warmth and comfort of the hospitality offered at Hornbill Lodge. Groups of up to 10 guests at a time can expect to enjoy a personalised experience throughout their stay, as owners Tommy and Jackie Millar tend to every need.

Hornbill Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
Game viewing in the area is fantastic and guests can enjoy an incredible array of wildlife; including, elephants, giraffe, zebra, eland, buffalo, baboon, impala, lion, hyena, hippo, crocodile. White rhino, sable antelope, leopard, black rhino may also be spotted. The area offers incredible bird-watching. making it a birder's paradise. Hornbill Lodge is built with an inviting pool deck and plunge pool, which guests are drawn to on hot Kariba days. The deck creates the perfect setting for alfresco dining, enabling guests to soak up the beautiful panoramic views of Lake Kariba under the shade of Africa’s indigenous trees. Courtesy activities (weather permitting) may include fishing for Bream or the notorious Tiger Fish; game-viewing trips by boat, which presents a refreshing take on a safari experience; and a short drive to the Lake’s wall, which allows guests to experience the magnitude of the 128m tall, 579m long structure, completed in 1959. Transfers from Kariba airport, ferry and houseboats can be arranged by request.
