Tswalu The Motse
The Motse is a charming and stylish safari dwelling located in Tswalu Game Reserve in South Africa’s stark Kalahari region. Its position at the foot of the Korannaberg Mountain ensures guests are never short of astounding and dramatic wilderness views.
This is the landscape where the aardwolf and wild dog roams free, and where guests can explore the vast terrain on horseback, foot or in the comfort of a game viewer. The Motse is a secluded safari village comprising 9 individual dwellings elegantly built from thatch and stone, each with flowing wooden viewing decks and open fireplaces. The rugged stacked stone buildings provide a cool respite from the burning desert heat of the Kalahari. Decor is stylish yet simplistic, with open areas furnished with wooden fixtures, keeping in tune with the natural surrounds. A walk-in wine cellar, gift shop, and spa area are just a few of the amenities to enjoy at The Motse.
