Royal Madikwe Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
The Madikwe Game Reserve is home to a tremendous diversity of fauna and flora. It is home to lion, leopard, over 400 elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, hippo, brown and spotted hyena, giraffe, wild dog, and cheetah. In addition, the expansive grass plains boast gemsbok, springbok, and over 340 species of birds. The lodge is a superb walking and open vehicle safari destination where guests are accompanied by well-trained and informative rangers who are able to interpret the many encounters whilst on safari. Both early morning and evening game drives and fascinating bush walks allow guests to truly encounter the African Bushveld.
