The Blyde River Canyon Lodge is situated in a reserve rich in wildlife. Not only are the water courses of the Blyde River well inhabited with hippo and crocodiles, the Reserve is home to nyala, impala, wildebeest, zebra, bushbuck, duiker, steenbuck, kudu and bush pig. The Northern Drakensberg escarpment provides magnificent scenery. The following activities are available in the area, River Rafting and Tubing, Boat trips, Micro Lighting, Paintball, Abseiling, Hot Air Ballooning, Kloofing, Quad bikes & Dirt Cars, Bombyx Mori Silk Farm Private Game Drives, Kapama Endangered Species Centre - Cheetah project Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Horse Riding, Kruger National Park Elephant Back Safaris, Hiking trails.
