The diverse topography of the reserve also enables us to naturally sustain over 40 species of game; including, warthog, blesbuck, baboons, bushpig, klipspringer, leopard, jackal, brown hyena, caracal, civet and genet to name but a few. There are well over 300 species of resident and migrant birds. Unspoilt views of the majestic Waterberg and waterholes frequented by rhino, giraffe, kudu, eland, gemsbok and a great variety of water birds and a breeding pair of fish eagle. Some of the activities offered at Bushwa Private Game Lodge are: game drives by qualified game drivers, walking trails in the bush 2-3 hours, order a picnic basket from the lodge and picnic at the banks of the river, bush sleep outs under the stars with the rangers on a deck, and horse riding and bass fishing.
