Built with little environmental impact and situated amid riverine woodland, the canvas tents and classic design immerse guests in the safari experience. Set within the Big Five Manyoni Private Game Reserve, the camp provide personal access to world-class game viewing.
Rhino Sands Safari Camp was designed and developed with minimal disruption to the ecosystem, so it complements rather than dominates the surroundings. The camp is entirely made up of canvas tents placed on wooden decks and painted in a typical safari style. It is a setting where the indoors and outdoors combine harmoniously, resulting in a camp where guests can fully immerse themselves in the safari experience.Each of Rhino Sands' four luxury tented suites is tucked away in the riverine forest, on the edge of a peninsula with breath-taking views of the Msunduze River. Each suite provides guests with privacy and serenity, allowing them to rest and absorb their surroundings. Each tent has a lounge, a bathroom with bathtub and shower, a private terrace with plunge pool, an outdoor shower and a bedroom that can be set up as a king or two singles. The main camp features a reception, lounge, bar and multiple dining areas, including the traditional boma. This area is linked to the safari tents by a high wooden boardwalk that winds through the riverine forest.

The Rhino Sands' safari experience is centred around two wildlife drives every day. All drives take place within the Manyoni Private wildlife Reserve, a 57,000-acre privately owned Big 5 wildlife reserve. Game drives typically run 2.5-3 hours and are guided by the team of expert game rangers in open safari vehicles. Rhino Sands ensures a maximum of six people per vehicle, ensuring each guest's comfort and optimal game viewing opportunities.
