Walkers Bush Villa
Walkers Bush Villa is a stately safari home in the Timbavati Nature Reserve, offering exclusive accommodation in four bedrooms, inviting families with children or a group of 10 guests to relax in luxury and style.
Walkers Bush Villa Highlights
This bush villa offers a privately guided and catered safari experience from the same famous Timbavati location as its neighbouring Walkers River Camp. Howard and Ingrid Walker’s heart and soul shine through in this grand, yet comforting, four-bedroomed home, which is adorned with magnificent collectable artwork and striking pieces of furniture that embody opulence. Polished wooden floors with warming Persian carpets dress the villa from the ground, while paintings fill the walls between wide door frames and large glass windows. Outside on the verandah, the natural beauty of the bush shines through with a more casual atmosphere, a well used fireplace, long wooden table and canvas directors chairs for classic summer safari dining.
- This stylish villa has four bedrooms, of which one is a master suite and the remaining three are twin. All have seating areas, en suite bathrooms, and the twins can be configured to doubles.
- The master bedroom is unique in that it has both an indoor and outdoor sleeping area. Through glass French doors, the bedroom leads to a covered verandah with a second double bed for summertime sleeping.
- Walkers Bush Villa can sleep a total of 10 guests and it welcomes children in this exclusive-use environment, so families are a perfect fit.
- A private chef will cook and prepare delicious meals and snacks, while a housekeeping team will maintain the cleaning and maintenance during your stay.
Walkers Bush Villa Game Viewing and Activities
The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve borders the Kruger National Park, Klaserie, and Manyeleti Private Nature Reserve as a part of the Greater Kruger. Game viewing is excellent with a fantastic diversity and population of both predators and herbivore species. Elephant, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, zebra, impala, and kudu are frequently seen, while hippo and crocodile occupy various dams lined with herons, kingfishers, storks, and fish eagles. The area has famous lion vs spotted hyena battles, while superb leopard sightings are another special sight. The sounds at night from the villa are full of scops owl and pearl-spotted owlet songs, bush babies, night jars, and of course those territorial lion and hyena calls. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to start the day and explore the bush with a trained guide, while game drives get you close encounters with big game, and are of course complete with sundowners.
