The chalets at Kambaku River Sands all offer beautiful views of the river and lush vegetation within the reserve. Each of the 10 elegantly decorated suites have private viewing decks of the surrounding Timbavati bush. Each en-suite bathrooms have a spa bath with the same stunning views and an outdoor shower for those hot summer days. Each chalet at Kambaku River Sands has airconditioning.
The spa area has treatment rooms to pamper guests, a private pool, sauna and steam rooms, overlooking the river. Kambaku River Sands includes a wine cellar where guests can sip on South African wines while watching animals at the waterhole. The lodge also includes a spa area for the ultimate bush relaxation therapy. A typical day at Kambaku River Sands consists of morning and evening game drives, bush walks and nature walks accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Game drives and nature walks take place in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, home to the popular Big Five and other wildlife animals such as buffalo. Enjoy a sun downer as the sunsets in the Timbavati and watch the beautiful stars light up at night. Before having supper, guests gather around the boma area, where they socialise about the day’s activities, exchanging stories and enjoying drinks.
