Cheetah Plains Game Viewing and Activities
Cheetah Plains is home to South Africa's "Big 5", as well as cheetah, hyena, jackal, buck, giraffe, and zebra. Game drives begin early in the morning, when most of the animals are active and sightings are common. The lodge offers two safaris daily, as well as a daily guided bush walks. The safari experience at Cheetah Plains is unique in the sense that the lodge does not only concentrate on the Big Five. In addition to game viewing activities, Cheetah Plains offers guests the unique opportunity to learn about the history of the reserve and the local people. You can also sit back and relax under thatch on the upper deck or alongside the outdoor swimming pool which is positioned in a small grove of Tamboti trees.
