The Masai Mara National Park is synonymous with the Serengeti’s annual wildebeest migration that sees herds of thousands of wildebeest seek out new grazing grounds. Because the camp is conveniently situated right in the thick of the wildebeest migration pathway, there’s actually plenty to see from the camp itself. Both lions and leopards can be heard echoing through the night, while hippos interrupt the dead quiet with their bellowing honking. Guests can enjoy two safaris a day in modified Toyota Land Cruisers that offer stellar views of the wilderness from all angles. Full day safaris begin with a breakfast picnic, before heading out into the vast plains of the reserve to seek out predators. The national park is an important conservation area, and has huge populations of elephant, lion, cheetah, and leopard. The big cats are drawn to the hundreds of thousands of plains game. Other activities such as hot air ballooning over the national park, and visits to local schools and communities can also be arranged.
