Tuli Wilderness Camp
The Camp is located along the shady flood plain of the Limpopo River, under the massive riverine trees including the magnificent Mashatu and tall Apple-leaf trees.
Tuli Wilderness Camp Highlights
Northern Tuli Game Reserve comprises several different eco‐systems: riverine (we border 2 kilometers along the Limpopo River), savannah bushveld, open rocks and kopjes, and marsh, all of which provide different habitats and thus a unique and diverse range of animal and birdlife. The River and marsh are a perennial source of water to the reserve and so game is present year‐round, making this a wonderful area to visit at any time of year.
- Northern Tuli Game Reserve is home to the largest concentration of elephants on privately owned land in Africa.
- Over 50 different gamespecies and more than 350 species of birds at The Northern Tuli Game Reserve.
- Tuli Wilderness Camp is unfenced giving guests access to the wilderness area.
- The camp provides exclusive opportunities for off-road and night game drives.
- The waterhole located at camp provides magnificent game viewingopportunities.
Tuli Wilderness Camp Game Viewing and Activities
Tuli Wilderness Camp and the reserve are completely unfenced and game roams freely. As the land is privately owned, off road game and night drives can be conducted, providing ample opportunity for the best possible game viewing and of course a chance to spot the “holy grail” of African safaris–the elusive leopard.
Activities at the camp include guided morning or afternoon wilderness walks, guided game-drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle and night drives. Game such as elephants, leopard, bushbuck, bush pigs, warthogs and African wild cats can be seen drinking at the waterhole just below the camp.
