Chitengo Safari Camp Game Viewing and Activities
Guests are invited to enjoy the Gorongosa National Park in its lush splendour and rest assured that they will be directly participating in one of the greatest restoration projects in Southern Africa and can see firsthand how rapidly and positively nature responds when given a bit of help and space from mankind. During their stay guests will enjoy multiple game drives and see the expanding game population which has increased significantly in the last few years. Guests can also enjoy community walks and can choose to visit Mount Gorongosa with its wonderful waterfalls and help with the reforestation efforts currently underway. Opt for activism and assist a forestry team in planting trees and hear how the rainforests on top of the mountain play an essential role in the health of the lower park area 20 Kms away. Closer to home, Chitengo Safari Camp offers modern cabanas with air conditioning, restaurant and swimming pools; the camp is open throughout the year except for the short period from mid December to mid March.
