Setam Lodge Activities
Ranomafana National Park was originally set up to preserve 2 of Madagascar’s endangered lemur species; the golden bamboo lemur and the greater bamboo lemur, making this 40,000 hectare area great for spotting the majestic creatures. Walks from Setam Lodge into mountainous Ranomafana National Park offer hikers the chance to see a number of important and rare species of lemur, such as the golden bamboo lemur, red bellied and eastern grey bamboo lemur, as well as Milne-Edwards’ sifaka. It’s not just lemurs found here however; there are other rare mammals, countless reptiles, a large number of bird species and incredibly diverse flora.
