Experience Uganda with a different twist on this 7 night Uganda Safari. Explore 2 diverse and unique areas in Uganda. Starting at Murchison Falls National Park where the River Nile plunges 80m down the rift valley wall to become the long placid river we know. The next stop is the wild and remote Kidepo National Park, as far away from Entebbe as you can get.
Murchison Falls National Park has a diverse range of wildlife to view. From Lions, elephants, chimpanzees and leopards to phenomenal bird life. The Nile pushes through a narrow gap producing a spectacular waterfall before the river heads calmly to Lake Edward. Activities include boat cruises, fishing expeditions, game drives and walks. There are specialist birding guides found here which will delight birdwatchers.
From there you will head north to the wild and remote savanna landscape of Kidepo National Park. Kidepo experiences low tourism numbers, making it one of the best private safari experiences in Africa. Explore Kidepo National Park in search of wildlife that can only be found here, like cheetah, greater and lesser kudu as well as lions, leopards, elephants and plains game. Kidepo is also home to many bird species.
Outstanding bird watching at both Murchison Falls and Kidepo makes this a perfect twitchers safari.

Day 1 – 4: Bakers Lodge , Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast you will set off for Murchison Falls National Park with your private guide and safari 4x4 vehicle. You will drive through beautiful landscapes and stop en route at a rhino sanctuary before arriving at Bakers Lodge. Located on the banks of the River Nile, Bakers Lodge offers a tranquil retreat with each safari suite raised on decks overlooking the river. Each suite has wide open windows and large en suite facilities. The main lodge is under trees overlooking the river. You will spend 3 nights here.
There are many activities to enjoy at Murchison Falls National Park. Game drives search for buffalo, elephants, lions, hyena, the elusive leopard and plains game. Bird safaris by vehicle or boat are available taking you to find a plethora of bird life including the rare shoebill stork. Boat cruises to the Murchison Falls and along the Victoria Nile River are available as are fishing trips. The intrepid can hike to the top of the falls or chimpanzee trek in Budongo Forest.
Day 4 - 7: Apoka Safari Lodge , Kidepo National Park
After an early breakfast you will set off with your guide and vehicle to the northern corner of Uganda which is home to Kidepo National Park. Spend 3 nights at Apoka Safari Lodge which overlooks the wild and remote savanna landscape of Kidepo. Each room at Apoka is designed with inspiration from local culture. The rooms are stone and canvas, built into a natural rise, with stone and canvas. Private decks and sitting areas overlook the savannah where animals often wander past.
Activities include safari game drives and walking safaris with local guides. Big game includes lions and leopard as well as the elusive cheetah, not found in other parks in Uganda. The savanna plains are perfect for herds of elephant and buffalo and other plains game. Visit the local village to learn about their way of life. Sit on your private deck just taking in the expansive landscapes.
Day 7-8: Chobe Safari Lodge, Murchison Falls National Park.
There is a seasonal flight linking Kidepo and Entebbe, it travels with a minimum of 4 passengers. Should we be able to secure seats on this flight for your safari this last day will fall away. However until there are more flights to Kidepo the return to Entebbe will be by road with an overnight stop.
Depart Apoka Safari Lodge with a packed breakfast and return south towards Murchison Falls National Park. Spend the night at Chobe Safari Lodge, located on the far side of Bakers Lodge where you will have a different view and game viewing experience. The main areas, bar and pool all overlook the Nile River. Each cottage or safari ten is en suite, all with magnificent views of the River Nile.
Day 8: Return to Entebbe Airport
You will make your way back towards Kampala and the International Entebbe Airport for your late afternoon onward travel.
