Your Malawi tour will end off on the shores of Lake Malawi, where you'll spend 3 nights soaking up the sun on a pristine beach. Enjoy snorkelling, freshwater diving, kayaking and boating on the crystal clear waters of one of Africa's largets inland lakes. You'll spend one night in the bustling capital of Lilongwe and the rest of the time exploring different parts of the Lake's southern region.

Day 1 - Burley House, Lilongwe
Arrive at Lilongwe airport and road transfer to Burley House where you will overnight before departing to the southern shores of Lake Malawi.
Burley House is located in a quiet residential area of Malawi surrounded by exquisite gardens and provides an a tranquil retreat in an upmarket suburb. Guests will stay in an executive room on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 to 3 - Pumulani or Makokola Retreat , Lake Malawi South
Guests will be transferred to the accommodation of their choice. Spend 2 nights at either the Pumulani or Makokola Retreat, both located on the shores of Lake Malawi. Lake Malawi is one of Africa's largest inland lakes and has over 600 species of tropical fish in the southern region. The lake offers crystal clear waters, palm-fringed beaches and is great for diving, kayking, fishing and boating.
Pumulani is an exclusive lodge located on the west side of the Nankumba Peninsula in the southern end of Lake Malawi.The lodge is located in an untouched area of the lake and comprises ten luxury villas dotted across a hill overlooking the lake. There's even an infinity pool on the upper terrace overlooking the lake. Accommodation is on a full board basis and motorized watersports are at an extra cost.
The 3 star Makokola Retreat is a comfortable beach resort located north of Mangochi on the palm-fringed shores of Lake Malawi. Accommodation is on a half-board basis and activities are at an extra cost. Accommodation is in the form of beach villas surrounded by lush vegetation. Enjoy sailing excursions, boat trips to the nearby Broadzulu island and scuba diving tours.
Day 4 to 6 - Mumbo Island, Lake Malawi South
Transfer by road to Kayak base camp where you will jump on board a boat and head to Mumbo Island. Mumbo Island is a pristine, deserted island floating in the waters of Lake Malawi. Surrounding the island is a maze of underwater boulders teeming with fish. Mumbo Island has never been populated - the vegetation and waters are pristine. Spend 3 nights on Mumbo Island.
Here you'll spend time at the exclusive Mumbo islandcamp. Accommodation is a safari tent overlooking the lake. The whole camp is built from timber, thatch and canvas and comes complete with hammocks. The entire camp has a Robinson Crusoe feel to it. Spend your days kayaking, snorkelling and swimming. Accommodation is on a full board basis.
Day 7 - Lilongwe
Boat transfer from Mumbo to the mainland and return to Kayak Africa base camp.
