Days 1 to 3 -
Tau Pan Camp
, Central Kalahari Game Reserve
On arrival at Maun airport, guests will be met by a representative and assisted to their light aircraft for transfer to their first camp in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Tau Pan Camp. This is the first permanent camp to open inside the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and is still 1 of only 2 within the reserve. The main guest area offers an expansive viewing deck, the focal point being a communal firepit and a deep plunge pool, which overlooks a permanent waterhole.
Accommodation is in 9 solidly built chalets, connected to the main area by simple sandy paths, are equipped with ensuite bathrooms and offer indoor sitting areas complete with contemplative writing desks.
Days 3 to 5 - Kwara Camp , northern Okavango Delta
Following a scrumptious breakfast and morning game activities, guests will be transported via light aircraft to Kwara Camp for 3 nights. Kwara Camp is able to offer power boating, mokoro trips, walks and game drives all year round. The presence of permanent water ensures year-round game viewing as well as fishing.
Kwara Camp is located in the 175 000 ha private Kwara Concession in the remote northern part of the Okavango Delta. It shares a common boundary on the northern edge of the Moremi Game Reserve and the camp itself is situated on a forested island under tall trees overlooking a lagoon in the open flood plains.
Days 5 to 7 - Kwando Lebala Camp , southern Linyanti Wildlife area
On day 6 guests travel to their third Botswana destination after their morning breakfasts and activities. Kwando Lebala Camp is situated just 2 hours south of its sister, Lagoon Camp, within the Kwando Reserve. In this area, guests can expect to see a large population of elephants as there are estimated to be more elephants in the Linyanti Wildlife Area alone than there are in the whole of South Africa. The major predators in the area are lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena and are resident and regularly sighted.
Each of Lebala's 8 luxury tents has vast Zimbabwean teak floors and the airy interiors are surrounded by spectacular shade cloth walls, and sliding doors separating the Victorian ensuite bathrooms. From the privacy of their own rooms, guests can view elephant's and hippos ambling alongside the river in the light of the full moon.
Day 7 - Depart back to Maun Airport
After breakfast and morning activities, guests are transferred by light aircraft back to Maun airport in time for their onward travel arrangements.
